DEVIL.

@faustium

 “ Tha is in a strange place for stranger things still , bargains for power with great creatures at the cost of what? Not much humans can offer that greater devils can’t simply take. Tha is either brave or stupid , higher chances on tha’s stupidity. "

          ———❝ One thing they can’t take is a sense of humor. Suppose the humor and the other things have kept me alive this far… ❞
He paused, squinting at the shorter woman for a moment.

❝ Do you speak from experience, Devil? ❞

???

fingertip CIRCLES rim of his glass with half – lidded cerise eyes slowly being AVERTED to look toward company.  company whose voice does take him by surprise but perhaps not nearly as much compared to if he HADN’T known they were there prior.  the smell of cigarette smoke settles in his nostrils  ,  a scent he knew all too well but NOT because he smoked.  he knows very well it’d linger on him for hours to come as it BLEEDS into the very threads of his clothing.  “ do i ?   –   it’s not often brought up.

              ———❝ Let’s say I have an eye for that sort of thing. ❞
The burn of tobacco settled into his lungs, a scorch that could not nearly compare to the feeling of fire on the back of his neck. Somehow, in some way, the man beside him had triggered his passive perception. Humans never quite gave the same lingering feeling, not if they were truly as normal as they say.

❝ I’ve  been told I look pretty young for my age — how does a hundred and seven look to you?

             ———❝ Ah, Maki-san?
Elliot stared for a moment, emerald eyes focused on the girl and her casual attire. Sunday was his free day from work and duties to the Joestars. He decided to head to the commercial district, gathering ingredients for the week’s meals. The one thing he hated more than to run into students, was to run into students he’d actually been assigned to teach.

❝ Did you walk here? My car is just around the corner, I can give you a ride home if you’d like. ❞

             ———There was a sort of fear that instilled itself in Dio’s presence.
Any prior notion of death had hardly swayed the young man before; still, he froze at the thought of what his employer needed from him at this very late hour.

❝ It’s me. ❞
He muttered, fingers rapping on the chamber door.
